2009-10 Flyers Season Thread

The bandwagon is strong with them.  Who knows, i just think this flyers team is doing shtein that we all thought they were capable of coming into the year, but i thought Emery would be in net.

I think Pronger is going to be the difference in this series.  He was epic in the last two series and between him and Richards, I really don't see them losing.   It just feels like a destiny thing especially after the shootout against the Rags just to get in, the Bruins miracle, etc...

pronger and duncan keith (btw he def has one of those full names where its impossible to not say the entire thing when referring to him) cancel each other out

to me the key to the series is carter...if this week off has gotten him back to or close to 100% and he can have a four or five goal series then the flyers win...for one he can improve their slumping power play...two he will help cancel out the kane tose duo in terms of firepower...and three i just dont see the flyers having the scoring depth this series they have had against the crap they have played so far...your best players have to step up now...you cant count on a asham hartnell reemer or leino this series (briere needs to come out of hiding as well)

I agree with this. Defense is what got them here and what they've built their identity on. He's the one player they can't lose. As for the series I don't have a feeling one way or the another who is going to win.

This is actually incorrect.  He's a big Flyers fan and goes to a lot of the games according to N-C.

I'll be the first to admit I am one of them.  I lost interest in hockey for a few years.  Living in TX and being overseas there wasn't much NHL coverage or at least the Flyers.  This team though is impossible not to watch they are just a tough bunch of dudes that don't give up.  Hard not to respect that.

I find the Blackhawk fans to be pretty obnoxious though, they dont know shtein about the sport.  The Chicago Sun Times had to run an article about what Icing is, and other game related stuff.  I'm so nervous right now, but so pumped its crazy
