if i knew anything about hockey id take that bet

but really im thinking we should collect havas' whiny bitchy negative the sky is falling posts and send them to philadelphia sports headquarters and get him barred for life from attending parades and games.

YOU DONT DESERVE NONE OF THIS YA HEARD
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

i thought they would lose this game, but it would've been nice to see them at least put some effort into it.  the defense was terrible, Pronger/Carle to be specific.  they didn't forecheck well at all and were totally dominated in their own zone.  most of them came out and said they were over confident, which is hard to believe because they were mostly outplayed in game 2 but stole it.  so, it's disappointing they would come out over confident.  i actually think they might have psyched themselves out because all anybody talked about was how Montreal was gonna come out roaring in the first 10 minutes.

I agree that they played terribly, but everyone's saying game 2 they didn't look good either. I don't know...there was never any time in that game where I was like, "oh no...here comes Montreal".

I expected a game 3 loss and I expected it to be a big one.

Somehow, everyone seems to be in a state of "OMG OMG OMG!" I just don't see how anyone is even close to that point.

its hard to believe because they just completed a 0-3 comeback less than a week ago...its almost unfathomable that anyone on the team would say that

i dont think anyone is OMG but montreal beat two teams much better than the flyers to get to this point and came back down 3-1 in one of those series...

put it this way its a lot closer to OMG than it is to the flyers being in the stanley cup...

They played stifling defense in game 2 and scored 3 goals. Not sure where anyone thinks they played badly or were outplayed. Maybe for 10 minutes in the first period, but that was it. they played like the much better team in both games. They'd been playing at an insane level for 2 weeks. If no one expected a letdown game at some point and for them to just breeze through the series, they were wrong.

But becuase they lost a game, to start saying Montreal is going to win, is well, IGY to a T.

i think the flyers match up well against the canadiens which is why they had a shot at this series...and after game two i felt pretty good...at the same time i wanted to see how montreal would respond at home...like sun said if they flyers hadnt laid a compelte egg last night id feel ok..if they lost two one and leighton was great i wouldnt be concerned at all

but all in one game they made leighton look normal got halak back and figured out their system again...thats a horrible combo for the flyers

i dont think montreal is going to win the series because they won last night...i think montreal is going to win because they are back to being the team that beat wash and pitt not the team that was in philly this week

i'm actually ok with the blowout because it was over from the start and you could see that.  2-0 coming home is a huge game for montreal and everyone and their mother knew they were coming out roaring.  would i have liked to see them be more competitive?  sure.  but montreal got their blowout and i think game 4 is the true indicator.  if it happens again, then there is serious worry, we need to see the flyers come out and re-establish their physicality and size advantage.

Knew they would get beat, didnt see 4-0 being on the board coming, but MTL in the Belle Center, after spending half the first period on the PP, you had to see the Habs PP wouldnt stay at 0 for 3 games.  I think the Habs may have farged up though in that last sequence of the game,  Richards did his captains part, and was pissed about Spacek going after Briere.  Cammaleri also needs to get the forearm shiver, Giroux may give it to him.  So happy i get to miss the game saturday to go to a white trash wedding.

You still use Windows XP?

I had to wipe a notebook clean and re-install it with the original o/s.

Meh...

I was thinking the same thing. They had the Flyers crushed and possibly deflated for the next game, but pulling that dirty shtein at the end of the game might have the Flyers coming out pissed in game 4.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

PhillyGirl

I actually missed that part of the game....quick rundown please?
