The bullpen is a mess and a concern. Right or wrong?

Amaro failed to address it correctly in my opinion.

actually the bullpen has been really good. the other shoe may drop at some point, but contreras has been superb, durbin is on this year and baez has been serviceable.

otherswise, madson is a moron and got injured, lidge is probably damaged goods and jc appears to back.

i love people bitching about people bitching about legitimate concerns on their baseball team in a sports forum.  you don't like the topic of conversation? don't participate. most of the shtein talked about on this board is bitching, whining, insulting, borderline retarded farging "conversations."   

who gives a shtein about may.. your right.  this is all spring training for the post season barring any catastrophic injuries.

you need a bullpen and a second "ace" come playoff time.    both are these teams weaknesses.  they crush the ball, great.  hooray.  fun.  they also look downright horrible trying to close some of these games out.  and cole hamels was good in '08 but needs to make an adjustment.  he seems to be on his way, but the jury is still out.  until he proves otherwise he's a weak minded bitch boy.  as of today they still get wiped up by the yanks or basically whatever AL team makes it to the series.  these are concerns and therefore are being expressed.

you are right. cole hamels is back to his '08 form and is ready to step up and not get raped in the playoffs because he finally had a halfway decent start.  how did i miss it.  i should learn baseballz.

Hamels is pitching better than last year, that's for certain. He added a few more pitches to his repertoire and they seem to have paid off. Even in 08' he wasn't dominant during the regular season, he'd shows hints of having the ability to dominate then fall apart. He didn't flourish until the postseason, so nobody knows what to expect from him until we reach the playoffs.

Not taking sides but I'm am baffled that people try to pick apart this team. They've been to two World Series and are one of the top 3 teams in the league. Yeah they have question marks, but every team that has ever taken the diamond has. I vowed to never call them the 'bums' if they won the world series, they did and I've stuck to my word.
