Susquehanna Birder

I've pretty much concluded that there are too many loose ends to tie up neatly. I'd hoped for better.

The allusion to the early event of Jack and Kate finding the two bodies in the cave seems to indicate that there is a nice, big story arc to work with. Unfortunately, that's pretty much all we're going to see. And there will always be a lot of unanswered questions.

I dunno.  I didn't think she was either, but once I started thinking about the episode I began thinking that she was already the smoke monster, she just had two roles of both smokey/protector and wanted to split them among Jacob/MIB.  That might be why MIB saw his dead mother, and how else do you explain her killing the whole village of people?  I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised.

Well she didn't turn the MIB into the smoke monster, Jacob did by chucking him into the cave. She was able to kill the villagers because she's immortal until she passes her power on (same with Jacob and the candidates). In the end she wanted someone to kill her because she couldn't kill herself.

I agree. The disappointing thing was in early seasons you were left asking yourself "what does this all mean and how are they going to tie all of this together". It's not a jigsaw puzzle like many people thought, more so a story with layers being exposed.  I'd still like to wait until the final episode before I make any conclusion.

I don't think the candidate are immortal, I think they just can't kill themselves.

Maybe but I'm 99% sure the current protector of the island can't be killed until a new protector is appointed. So her destroying that camp was probably no big deal. The MIB had to do a whole lot of shtein just to find a loophole to kill Jacob, and Jacob already had candidates in place.

NBC is canceling Law and Order.

Also cut are Scrubs, Flash Forward and a bunch of zesty shows.

Boooooooooooooooooo!  Flash Forward and Modern Family are pretty much the only 2 shows I make it a point to watch.

PhillyGirl

LOL.  Happy Town looked like an absolute disaster.  Everyone involved in green lighting that show should be banished to Browntown to write tv reviews and have Todd edit them.

MDS

l&o not officially done yet

my guess is they get 13 to properly send the show off

flash forward absolutely tanked after a strong premiere, v i have no idea why it survived. abc probably felt like they had too much invested in it to cut it loose after 1 year.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Boooo. Not nearly as good as the original series, but still had me laughing. IMO, as long as Perry Cox is on that show, it can/should survive.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Mad-Lad

Flash Forward has been a huge disappointment. Better Off Ted was hilarious and I'm sad to see it go. V is less than spectacular.

I don't watch Flash Forward but it must really suck ass if it got beat out by V. I gave up on V about a month ago, and I love alien invasion shtein.

Sgt PSN

I think the problem with Flash Forward is that they are trying to tie too many characters together and as a result, some characters go 2 or 3 episodes without being seen which leaves you wondering what the hell is going on with them.  I enjoy the show overall but that's my biggest complaint about it and probably why it's not doing so well.
