A 21 year old kid in his first full season and playoffs gets a pass. Hartnell on the other hand is my least favorite Flyer of all time. If you constructed a player that was everything wrong with the Flyers he'd be the prototype.

This...  JVR is a kid still.  Sure i wish they got Pat Kane but the flyers lost that Lotto and they couldnt control that.  Hartnell is an aborotion of a human.  He supposedly goes to the brass and tells them that hockey is all he has and please dont bench him because of the personal shtein he has going on.  Yet he goes out and is the worst player on the ice night in night out.  He's nowhere this bad, but he's worse than Cole Hamels was last year as far as bitching out.  Stone hands, no balance, and retarded hair is no way to go thru life.

He has nothing except millions of dollars and is somewhat of a celebrity. Poor guy. I'd switch places with him (minus his looks) any day of the week. I could probably score as many goals as he does and I've never ice skated in my life.

yeah reemer being a rookie does get him some slack. the kids has skills though, may help having better people on the line with him. this team is riddled with utter horse shtein and as igy pointed out there is no relief in sight and it's a shame because the flyers do have some good young talent. especially giroux.

a 21 year old 3rd round pick maybe gets a pass...he was the number 2 overall pick in the draft three years ago

tyler ennis is younger was called up by buffalo with like a month left in the season and played way better than reemsdyke down the stretch and even had four pts in the boston series

blame the flyers because he shouldnt have been in the league...blame the flyers because he never should have been drafted that high....but you cant give him a pass because hes 21...hes was a disgrace the last three months and should have been in adirondack...or up in the press box....or in a volcano with hartnell

you just said it.  The kid played College Hockey, he's not used to the grueling schedule.  He farged up by not going to JR's and going to NH.  But hey, lets trade him for a 4th round pick.  I trust your hockey observations like i would trust Andy Reid guarding hot dog stand.

he's a power forward though, which are historically longer to develop.  LeClair went to college for 4 years and still wasn't a stud when he got drafted, it took him a few years to develop and be the player he became.

and while 21 is not old...its certainly not a reason a player should be as hideous as he was...its not like he was drafted last year...plus he was the number 2 pick for god sakes

shtein the best 14 year old in the world could get more than a couple pts the last half of an nhl season like reemer did
