I wasn't pimping the kid. What I am saying the Eagles have dick at defensive tackle, so it wouldn't be a shock to see him stick.

I like the deal with Dallas to move down 4 spots and pick up a 4th, but if the Jags were offering a similar deal why not trade with them instead of helping a division rival?

QuoteEagles turned down trade with Jags to do a round two deal with Dallas
Posted by Mike Florio on April 30, 2010 11:01 PM ETAs the 2010 NFL Draft continues to fade into the rear-view mirror, interesting nuggets continue to percolate.

In round two, for example, the Eagles did another trade within the division, sending the 23rd pick in round two to the Cowboys, who used the selection to take Penn State linebacker Sean Lee. (Philly slid down four spots and picked up a fourth-round selection from the Cowboys.)

According to Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News, the Jags also were interested in doing a deal with the Eagles in order to draft Lee, but the Eagles declined.

"They chose to go in a different direction,''' Jaguars G.M. Gene Smith said regarding the Eagles. "We obviously liked him [Lee]. We started to talk to every team we thought we could match up working a trade.''

Smith added that he was surprised by Philly's decision to do a deal with a division rival. But Smith shouldn't have been. Earlier this month, the Eagles sent franchise quarterback Donovan McNabb to the taterskins. Three years ago, the Eagles did another deal with Dallas, dropping from the 26th overall selection to pick No. 36.

The Cowboys landed linebacker Anthony Spencer. The Eagles took Kevin Kolb.

We've got a feeling that the Eagles like these intra-division trades.

Where does it say it was a similar deal?
