If you know what you're getting into, want a few laughs and aren't expecting Citizen Kane, it's worth checking out. I can only assume that it'll land in IGYs top movies of all time in the very near future..

"Extract" was mildly amusing.  Jason Bateman can be funny and Mila Kunis can be hot with any script.  Good cameo by Gene Simmons.

Extract fell short for me, there was potential there but it just didn't live up, Ben Affleck trying to play the druggie friend had a lot to do with that though.

I watched 17 Again as sort of a joke with the ladyfriend and found myself laughing at parts. I'll be killing myself now, thanks.

Also, I don't think I ever posted my thoughts on Inglorious Basterds. I found the german and french dialog (and the actors who played german and french characters) to be FAR superior to all of the english speaking characters and their dialog. Now granted, most of the english dialog was delivered by Brad Pitt, Eli Roth and Mike Myers so we're not talking about a group of perennial Oscar favorites here, but it made me think about Tarantino and how much of the dialog he actually wrote. Did he write the german and french parts and then have someone else translate it for the film? And if so, why was it so much better than the english dialog?

Anyway, all of that aside, it was pretty goddamned enjoyable.

up in the air - the most solid movie ever. nothing amazing but everything was great. i dont know, maybe thats amazing. 4/5

capatalism: a love story - typical michael moore bullshtein. some good parts, some unwatchable parts, some fat egomaniac parts. 3/5

w. - so much wrong with this but many parts still enjoyable. also liked how jim cromwell didnt even try to do a george hw bush accent. 2.5/5
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I tried to watch Extract no less than 4 times... I still couldn't tell you what it is about, but I can tell you it was an incredibly boring waste of 20 minutes on four separate accounts.

Understandable.  Not a great movie, but an ok movie with some slightly better than ok parts.

Which backs up my subconscious instinct to not waste more time than it would take me to shower and shtein in the morning on the movie.

i watched the first pacific and thought it was very good.  have tried to watch part II at least 3 times now and have fallen asleep each time.  kind of snoozy for a war story.
