The thing is, they already had 60 minutes to play. Should they also make a rule stating that no team can have more than 30 minutes for time of possession before overtime?

no...because OT is a different "game"...they start over...once you do that each team should have an opportunity with the ball

if the 4th quarter ended in a tie and the game simply continued into a 5th period with down distance ect remaining the same then the previous 60 minutes would matter

The change passed 28-4 (Jeffy liked it) and goes into effect for this year's playoffs.

Kickoff returned for TD = game over
Turnover returned for TD = game over
Touchdown = game over
Safety = game over
Field goal on opening possession = other team gets a chance to tie or win in one possession
Field goal on 1st possession after other team turned it over = game over
Field goal on 2nd+ possession = game over

if i had hbo, i'd actually be interested in watching that.  would love to get a month's worth of behind the scenes footage of rex ryan. 

can you imagine how down right horrible that show would be if they did the eagles?  lurie, banner, reid, howie, mcnabb?  booooorrrrrrrriiiiinnnngggg.

Last year's was the best yet. The Bengals? It was flipping fantastic.
