i guarantee you the eagles sell us this guy as the answer at defensive end when he clearly is not.  if they were bringing him in as a rotational guy or even a special teams guy, i'd be fine with it, but just wait and see... they're going to piss on our necks and call it rain.

again.

Agreed. They did the same with Clemons who we just traded.

Remember the spin in the offseason? He had 7 sacks in limited snaps, he'll probably get 10+ here, etc...
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Can someone explain to me why anyone would care this much about giving up a fourth round pick? Established 26 year old DE with every down experience > random fourth round white dude. farg.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Why would they think anything about it one way or another? Jesus it's the second most boring move in the most boring offseason in memory. At least the Mike McMahon offseason was enraging. This is just boring as shtein.

Pretty much the definition of a lateral move, plus the youth and upside Tapp brings. So basically it was trading a fourth for a younger rotational guy. Whatever. They still need to draft nothing but defense, and a DE should be taken in the first three rounds.

cant see how this is a bad move. plus, I think he was playing behind kerney as a situational rusher, and was still tied 7th in the nfl in qb hits/hurries last year.

this guy looks like he can get to the qb, but of course so did clemons. its worth the unknown 4th rd'er no doubt.

now go DE 1st or 2nd rd and all is good

I just read that during his best year, where he had seven sacks, four of them came in one game.............against the Rams.

that's the thing, now I think they don't go DE in the 1st or 2nd round.

And I'm sorry, I missed what Clemons has done for the Eagles?

Is that the point???

you know people in seattle are having this same discussion, "clemmons has to be better than tapp, at least tapp is gone...and we got a fourth round pick!"

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.
