Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

ice grillin you

so basically they tease you with the first ep to try and get you to purchase hbo
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

IGY, I think he's trying to refrain from telling you that just because YOU'RE not a war movie guy, doesn't make the series overrated or any less great.

But we've already had plenty of people telling you your opinion isn't always fact, so I will also refrain from taking the bait.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

ice grillin you

a WAR movie will not be as good to someone who doesnt like WAR movies vs. someone who does like WAR movies

if it was anyone else id be flabbergasted at even having to explain this...with you...not so much

just like a series about coloreds from inner city baltimore no matter how far and away better it is than the second best show of all time would have zero appeal to you...unlike say a western set in 1870's south dakota that centers around cowboys

no matter how hard this all hurts your brain...it really isnt difficult

Rome

the acting, writing, and cinematography on that series were literally the best ever produced on television.

I agree. Right up to and when they walked into Hitlers Eagles Nest, some of the best cinematography I've ever seen on TV. BoB was almost as much a great lesson in history as it was a great television series.

MDS

you guys can see the difference between an actual tv show and a stand alone miniseries?

and romey its not bait...if youre a war movie guy i cant totally see drooling over bob...but im not

the fact that you admit that you're not into war movies is what makes you calling it overrated so headbangingly funny/annoying.  it'd be like me, who has repeatedly said how much i don't like hockey and never watch it, started saying that this player or that team is overrated even though i have no idea what the hell i'm talking about.

tell me you can't see why people are taking issue with what you're saying here.

I'm just commenting on how good Bob was. Not camparing it to the Wire, which I've only seen the first 2 disk's of from Netflix. Obviously the Wire is great TV or it wouldn't still be on.

The point is Bob was some of the best TV ever, mini series or long running show, it doesn't matter.

Please read what Sarge wrote, and stop trying to play the race card yet again.

The amazing part is how blind you are being to your own stupidity....again.

You're wasting your typing skills. No one can say anything about any show on TV being great without a two page sermon from Mutt and Jeff about the farging Wire being the absolute best thing thats ever been on TV.

MDS

im not doubting that, but BOB was essentially a 10 hour movie. its not really a tv show.

and whatever it was the wire was better and thats not even up for debate.
