I dont' know why I thought that season where they lost 7 straight was the 90-91 season. I saw where he said 94, but I thought it was my freshman year in college in NY when that happened. Sorry.

That was shortly after they beat the living day lights out of Steve Young and the Niners in SF.  Charlie Garner went off that game.  If I am not mistaken the 49ers ended up winning the Super Bowl that year.  That string of seven games was so bad.

1990 wasn't much better.  That was the opening round loss to the taterskins at The Vet.  The infamous Ben Smith fumble recovery for a TD that was called back.

I remember that Ben Smith play. I believe they lost 20-6, right?

I also remember the '94 slide. Chuck went off in SF. I also remember the Cincy loss where Brian O'Neal fumbled a kick off and basically cost the game.

QuoteRams brass talks quarterbacks, Michael Vick

Hallway decorations weren't the only thing up for discussion among Rams personnel on Friday. Coach Steve Spagnuolo and G.M. Billy Devaney were also talking about on-field matters, namely who would be their quarterback in 2010.

Spagnuolo said that there wasn't any timetable in place for deciding who would get the starting job.

"That may direct itself depending on things that happen. And we know what we're all talking about."

We're talking about potential trades and the draft. Devaney said that he felt that there were first-round talents at quarterback, although most observers agree that the team wouldn't select one unless it traded out of the first overall draft slot. Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has established himself as the top player in this year's draft.

As for trades, eyes in St. Louis have been on Michael Vick since Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported earlier this week that Rams assistants have reached out to their Eagles counterparts. Spagnuolo didn't get into specifics, but did touch on Vick.

"I've got a lot of respect for Michael as a player," Spagnuolo said. "Everything I've heard out of Philadelphia is kind of good. We haven't gone down that road in our process yet. I think he's a terrific player."

Spagnuolo wouldn't rule out returns for either Marc Bulger or Kyle Boller, but the key theme seemed to be that the Rams have a lot of work ahead of them when it comes to the quarterback spot this offseason.
