Anyone seen a good movie lately?

Streamed Underworld: Rise of the Lycans just now. Predictably, it was not good. I give Rhona Mitra a polite golf clap for general hotness and an appealing side-boob but as always...

Rhona Mitra is hot as shtein but remained fully clothed only showed side boob and had way too many lines. Worst actress ever.

Watched Jesus Camp last night and yes, like MMH. It made me hate Evangelicals more than I already do.

i dont know if you like documentaries...i farging love them...and most of them are on instant view

it has to be on a subject that really interests me.  super size me is probably the last documentary i've seen. 

of course, i don't really follow the documentary genre so if there's any solid ones out there, i'm always open to suggestions. 

Man on Wire is quite good. I heard Home was really good too, but have yet to see it.

Up in the Air: good movie. If you hate Clooney, you probably won't like this movie, but it is a lot better than your typical romantic comedy. Vera Farmiga is really hot, and I'm really starting to like her as an actress. One of the better 2009 movies I've seen.

I streamed it last night.  I thought it was eh.  I agree nudity definitely would have helped.  I wish the others in the series were instant.

Surrogates-Meh. I mean, it seemed like it could have been a good concept...but everything just kinda happens. Usually it's refreshing when a movie is just 90 minutes long, but in this case, it seemed very rushed through.

Sean Penn has more or less ruined himself for me. I can enjoy his recent movies up to a certain point, but at some point his pompous assface comes shoving through the character and all I want to do is take a belt-sander to it.

I can't disagree with you on Penn. Something about his little sneer that just rubs me the wrong way.

FWIW, I didn't mind movies with Richard Gere...until I saw Internal Affairs. He was good in that role. So good, in fact, that it made me start hating him. It has nothing to do with politics or anything else.

My point was not that he's a bad actor. My point is that I can't watch his movies without picturing him on his self-important soapbox lecturing the public about shtein that he knows nothing about.

so the wolfman is getting crushed

shutter island trailers look so good but theres a very interesting dynamic going on here

on one side is the fact that the movie was supposed to have been released back in the fall but didnt do do some re shoots and re editing...this is normally is a death knell for a picture....not only being delayed but being delayed and missing oscar season

on the other side is martin scorcese....i cant really imagine him making a movie like this and it sucking

will be interesting to see which wins out

and the crazies still looks good as ever...the new commerical where they show that nuthouse walking in the outfield with a chain saw is awesome
