The Wrestler -- worth a watch but it's pretty much predictable

Yeah, I watched it expecting to see some great movie based on the reviews and hype but came away unimpressed. It was ok, not great.

Man On A Wire - Documentary of the french tight rope walker who walked between the World Trade Center. I had no idea this wasn't a legally setup event and that it had to be all done undercover. Pretty wild. The guy was a nut obviously. Was sort of hoping he would of fell to his death.

Saw two moveis yesterday that I didn't expect to like and was pleasantly surprised by both:

Up: As Matt mentioned before, very adult. Touching, charming, a little funny, etc. I swear there's something hardwired in me that makes me think I'm going to dislike cartoon movies and I almost always really enjoy them.

Slumdog Millionaire: I kept reading the description for this movie and wondering how in the farg it got such acclaim. I mean jesus christ it's a movie about a dude going on a gameshow. Well, yeah, I was wrong. I'm not really a feel-good-movie kind of guy, but this had dark components that made the feel-good ending a very effective payoff. Crushing despair, horrific circumstances, pointed social commentary, violence, betrayal and one smokin hot Indian chick. I really enjoyed this.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Book of Eli was ok.  I was on board with it until the last 25-30 minutes when I felt it unraveled pretty quickly.

We checked out that movie BIG FAN with Patton Oswalt tonight on the onDemand. The only thing missing was him logging onto team message boards. Writing scripts for his talk radio call in rants, living with mom...basically all the stereotypes of a loser fan.

Big Giants fan and has a lot of Eagles/Giants stuff in it. Worth a look for a nothing else to do movie.

broken trust - awful movie starring tom selleck as a judge who gets embroiled in a federal wire tap sting operation...where i saw it it didnt have commercials but if i didnt know better id say this is a tv movie

2/10

inglorius bastiches - typical tarantino movie that you really enjoy when youre watching it but when its over youre kind of disapointed...the writing 10/10...the acting 10/10 but somehow the movie falls short of the sum of its parts...i love tarantino way more than i love his movies if that makes sense

7/10

hannah montana: the movie

im certainly no kids movie expert but this seemed to be a cheesy but good kids movie....it also seemed to spend 1.5 hrs to get to the only point that mattered and that was for miley cyrus to bury her hannah montana character while still keeping it alive so she can still get money from it while branching out on her own

3/10

star trek

pretty much was to the star trek series what batman begins was to its series....i am not a fan of superhero movies or sci fi movies but bother were very well done and did a real nice job of prequelling both franchises back into existsnce

6/10

makes total sense.  i admire his writing, creativeness and "out of the box" thinking/formulas to making a movie.  but at the same time, it doesn't always translate to a movie i find completely enjoyable.

i don't know what's worse:

that you watched it.

that you wrote something about it.

that you graded it.

that you think anyone here would be remotely interested in anyone's opinion of hannah montana movies.

you've been gone for a few days and you come back talking about hannah montana?  step yo game up, dook.

easily worse than any of those things is you catching enough feelings to write 50 words about it

Incorrect

I am curious though - why did you watch it? Lose a bet?

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
