i'm not denying it was catchable, Maclin should've made the catch.  i'm also saying Donovan should've made a much better throw.  he wasn't under pressure, and Maclin was wide open, no reason for him not to hit him in stride.

oh, and munson's a clown for throwing out the "i played the game" bullshtein.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Munson

lol like I said....never done anything athletic in your life, have you? Let alone played football.

Please. This is as bad as IGY not knowing what a seam route is.

He didn't even have to reach that far behind him. You're acting as if it was some twisting of the body acrobatic catch. It wasn't. It was a simple reaching back to your back shoulder catch....And it hit him in the hands. And he didn't catch it.

There hasn't been one person here who hasn't said the throw should have been better....but to say the ball is uncatchable is downright retarded and I'll bet you 938535345490469476464764 dollars that if you ever asked Maclin he'll tell you he should have caught it.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

This is what everyone needs to read.

And after ten years of exactly the same thing any Eagles fan who isn't sick to death of it needs to be shot in the dick.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

SunMo

he actually did twist, and lol at you keep trying to bait me into some sort of athletic comparison, like i have to prove anything to you.

if you can watch that play and say donovan made a good throw, good for you, that says everything i need to know about you.

This will be the 8th time I've said no one has said Donovan made a good throw....and everyone has said it should have been a better throw.

It's the tards like Todd who claim it to be uncatchable that need to be shot.

And no, I wasn't referring to you about not ever playing a sport. Although that wouldn't surprise me either.

Rusty-Of course it's frustrating....but I'm not a dumb fan who's just going to blame it all on one guy.

thats such a nonsensical thing to say. watch the play again and if you honestly believe that was a catchable ball you are dumber than we originally thought.

it would have been a prayer for maclin to catch it. youre basically working off milliseconds of instincts in that spot. or, if mcnabb wasnt a choker, maclin could have caught it in stride and maybe the eagles would have lost 24-3.

I think Maclin could have made a play and made it to the endzone. If McNabb would have made a more accurate throw, Maclin had all sorts of empty field in front of him

The ball Maclin should have caught for a TD was the one he didn't even look for because he had a couple of defenders near him

MMH

McNabb certainly has come up small many times.  But Reid is a fat farging douchebag moron, who will never coach a SB winning team.  They're made for each other.

Reid's comments after the game were just as inane as McNabb's.

Father Demon

I didn't read this whole thread, because you guys are dumbing me down too much.  So someone may have said this already..

I was hanging my hopes on the Eagles winning because it's hard to beat a good football team three times in one season.  Then I learned that 20 times in the NFL teams met twice in the regular season plus once in the playoffs, where one team beat the other both times during the regular season.  In 12 of those 20, that same team won again - meaning three wins in a season against good (playoff) teams.

Now I'm just sad.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

I hate you so much right now Demon. Goddamned killjoy.

Rome

12 out of 20, huh?

Sounds like the Eagles' pass/run ratio.

ice grillin you

12-20 is also higher than mcnabbs career completion %

anytime you can continue going down the same path with a qb that assumes getting 1 early 4th qtr touchdown is all he needs to win the game then throws his defense under the bus  when they don't comply is something you gotta do. gotta like that guy.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
