the Gator Bowl wants 6-6 Florida State instead of a more deserving team (even though the ACC sucked this year) just so they can host Bowden's final game

unless your 75 years old or igy, nobody cares who is deserving or not deserving in any bowl game except the title game.

bowl games are dated and pointless. its not high school. farg ending your season with some 1 week trip to mobile or detroit to play some school youve never heard of. give that to the temples of the world. let everyone else fight it out in an 8 or 16 team tourney. then maybe your sport will be legit.

its not about deserving or teams like temple wouldnt get in a bowl....its about fanbases and tv ratings

Richmond versus Appy State this Saturday.  Will be a fun game.

tonight should be the game of the year in pro or college football...hopeffully it lives up to the hype...havent been this excited about a football game in quite a while

It should be a very fun game to watch. 

Speaking of deserving a bowl game, how ridiculous is it that PSU may actually go to a BCS bowl? I am a huge PSU fan but they definitely don't deserve it.  While it would be cool to see them play Boise State they will likely get trounced.

the ironic thing is if penn state goes it most likely will be at the expense of a team that whipped them in beaver stadium

i would love to see a penn state pitt fiesta bowl

PSU-Pitt would be money, but I don't think that will happen.  Iowa is more deserving unfortunately for them the president of the Fiesta Bowl happens to be good friends with Joe Pa.  Not to mention PSU's history with that game.

Yeah true especially this season.  I agree with Joe Pa though what kills the big ten is how early their season ends compared to other conferences. Everybody else is still playing and they have been off for two weeks.

that certainly doesnt help but what hurts it most is cold weather and a severe lack of talent which are definitely not mutually exclusive

Well the lack of talent is little overblown the top teams in the Big Ten usually recruit well and put a decent amount of players in the NFL.

the seventh best team in the sec has better talent than the best big ten teams...the difference is their coaching usually sucks and they dont have the facilities and cash that huge programs like penn state ohio st and michigan have
