mine wasn't working so well at first. i usually don't keep it on the 3G network unless I'm on the internet not connected to wireless network. sucks the battery down more on 3G. figured this might be the problem. it was. worked fine on the 3G network. its about damn time

so a co-worker offered a trade.  his 8gb 3G iphone for my crackberry.  i checked ebay and it looks like the 8gb 3G iphones are still selling for about $300 each and my crackberry bold is going for roughly the same, but slightly less.

i guess i was a bit shocked to see the older iphones still going for that much.  does that seem right to you guys?

you're good--if you want the iphone that bad go for it they havent lost too much because the platform hasn't changed

the biggest/most notable difference between the 3G and 3Gs is the size right?  16 and 32gb on the new ones compared to 8 and 16 on the old.

all of the apps and everything can be used on either phone, correct?  or is there stuff out there that will only function on the new 3gs phones?

The 3GS is faster (as much as 2X) with the apps and web, and it has video capability. Other than that, the difference is minimal.

I picked up the Droid saturday, and my wife got the ERIS.  Both are much better than i even expected.  The GPS is money, tons of apps, and overall the coolest phone i've had.  I like the drop down keyboard, but it still has the on screen keyboard so your not stuck with having to slide it every time.  Overall both are just great so far, the 3G is faster than my buddies iphone which surprised both of us.

so basically the big hype about apple introducing this "magical" product yesterday in San Francisco was the new iPad. Basically a tablet with more features to cater to all the iPhone apps. Looks like it was specifically designed for the ebook market.

Im not too impressed by it, but Im sure as time goes on Ill find myself not being able to not have it like all the apple products

Yup, they brought it out to kill the Kindle and Sony Reader.

It'll do very well.
