San Diego isn't exactly a great team, but they have some great players. And some great mis-matches against the Eagles. They are similar to the Eagles in the sense that they are slow starters and maddeningly inconsistent. Oh, and Norv Turner is a bonehead.

Antonio Gates versus the LBs and DBs = advantage Bolts
Darren Sproles versus the LBs & on STs = advantage Bolts
Vincent Jackson & Malcolm Floyd = advantage Bolts

The only hope to win is to beat up Rivers, which is possible because the SD OL is not great and to throw a lot because their secondary is beatable.

And I don't even know what LBs will be on the field. After Jordan went out yesterday, I think the entire group had what, 3 starts with the team between them?

So is the sky falling yet? From the looks of this place I'd say yes. from the perspective of a rational person I still believe that they will go either 9-7 or 10-6.

How they get those wins is farging beyond me at this point, but they will get them because my penance for years of suceeding without trying and being snarky and destructive to those around me is that I will have to tolerate 25 years of Andy Reid on the sidelines in Philadelphia.

I would add an internet-approved "fml" but my life rules so I'll just say farg Andy Reid and be satisfied that my point has been made.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Andy in AFC road games:

1999-2001 = 4-2 (one of which was Seattle)
2002 (realignment/expansion/new rotation)-present = 6-8-1

four of those ten wins were against Cleveland and Kansas City

and not that they've played in San Diego that much anyway, but they haven't won there since 1974...

This is the game that marks the next step of the annual mid-season swoon. AFC road trip, zesty match-ups (as noted above) and endless pass plays. Weather should be nice, though.

But at least they'll be a "scrappy" race to a wildcard after a wrist-slitting run of the next 4 games
Endless regression to the mean

Thom Brennaman and Brian Billick are calling this one.  Great....

The game will be on in Philly, San Diego, Syracuse and Denver....that's about it.  Bar, DirecTV or illegal for everyone else....

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I'm having trouble even looking forward too this next game after Sunday night. I know that every year since Romo became the Cowboys qb that he looks good in the beginning of the year and tanks out before he can win a playoff game or even make the playoffs. That has happened more than not at the hands of the Eagles. But still, Andy Reid has me with such a bad taste in my mouth, that I don't think I can really get excited for a game anymore. The situation right now is such that this team will be lucky to make the playoffs, even with all the talent we have on offense. I know the o-line is inconsistent, but I feel this team doesn't reach it's potential solely because of Andy Reid and his game day coaching. This team is inconsistent with a capital I, and half the time doesn't looked prepared to play at all, and that is a direct reflection of it's coach.

Until Lurie can find it within himself to find another coach and move Ried up to the FO, or let him go altogether, every year to come will be the same as we've endured in the past.

I only have a good feeling for this game as I'm in San Diego for it (arrived yesterday).

Hoping the Eagles have a good game - that I really have something to cheer about!!

The "Gold Standard" looses this one but still manges to go 4-4 in the last 1/2.
