i dont care about the saints game...that was a loss to a superior team...nothing less nothing more

im talking big picture...maybe they will turn it around and win 20 games the next two years...but the personnel moves this team has made in the last year or two have been completely out of character and/or just plain awful as if they are losing it

and then with the massive losses of the last several months there is a definite recipe for disaster brewing...we wont know anything until next offseason for sure but i wouldnt be surprised at all if we look back on this time as the beginning of the end

do you do any sort of motivational speaking on the side after your day job? you should.

Munson

Come on guys....IGY has made htis prediction every year for the last 3 years. Right around this time, too.

The only reason why he might actually be right this time is the injuries.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

this whole time period....not only terrible PP decisions but even more than that uncharacteristically reckless decisions by a organization that always prided itself on even keelness and thinking a few steps ahead rather than right here and now...it appears to me that it very well be falling apart at the seams...well see..

Trotter x 2? What's the harm in looking at him to see if he can still play? He didn't play at all last year and maybe he has enough left to help out.

The Andrews = Shawn has a back issue and you even believe that he's hurt for real. Their mistake was counting on him to be effective without a back up plan (in our eyes). But they're rolling with Justice who may end up working out. Would it be a disaster if Justice can actually ball?

Stacey had ACL surgery on January 8th of this year. He's still recovering and could end up being a solid signing. I liked them bringing him in. Pump your brakes a tad on this one.

Gocong & LBs = no argument from me. Although, Akeem seems like he is a half decent player so far. But I'd still prefer some legit LBs, of which Trotter is/was one.

Vick = I was mad at first, but I'm liking it more and more.

Peters/Tra = Looks like they may have made the right call on this one. Like everything else on the list here, it's still too early to fully judge, but Peters seems to have his shtein together and he's a better run blocker than Tra was.

Runyan = should have been signed as insurance to the Shawn situation. But, again, they believe in Justice and time will tell if that's the right call - so far, so good.

Wildcat = hey, at least Reid is running the ball. Ain't no power run game, but they're gonna run it and control the clock some.

youre taking this all way to literally and specifically

its a combination of everything as a whole

lets wait a year or two and see if this thing collapses like i think it may

igy haven't you been predicting there demise since you have been on the board? Rhetorical btw.  As far as the Tra and Runyan thing you are not blaming them for not bringing them back are you? I assume you mean not having more of a backup plan?

Personally I am not going to be too down on them for the oline, they brought in a legit talent at LT can't fault them there.  As far as RT they shouldn't have relied so much on Andrews, but Justice does seem at least serviceable.  Olines do take time to gel and develop.

negative chief.....i may have predicted a loss in a game that they won or that they would miss the playoffs and they made it but never that the whole andy reid era was possibly about to implode

btw ive also said they could win a superbowl and have predicted them to win games that they won...its crazy how this prediction stuff works...you pick some to win AND lose

QuoteTrotter: Workout with Eagles went 'really good'

Should the Eagles bring Jeremiah Trotter back?

Retired middle linebacker Jeremiah Trotter worked out for the Eagles, a team spokesman confirmed. The Eagles wanted to see what kind of shape he is in.

The workout was initially reported by Adam Schefter, of ESPN.

"Right now, it was just a workout and that's it," Trotter said in an interview with WIP, for whom he now works. "We will see what happens in the near future ... [Andy Reid] He has my number and we'll go from there.

Trotter, 32, last played two seasons ago with Tampa Bay. He had two stints with the Eagles, 1998-2001 and then 2004-06. He was the team's defensive MVP in 2001 and '05. He played for Washington in between his Eagles stints. Trotter said he feels like he has not lost a step since his departure for the taterskins.

"Going over today, I was nervous as heck," Trotter said. "I didn't play all last year. When I was in Tampa, I really didn't play. I practiced every day, but I didn't play. It's just like showcasing yourself. I was nervous. I knew I had put in good work this offseason. I had a trainer for a while. I trained with Sheldon and Akers and I feel really good. I'm not in football shape. That is going to take me getting out there on the field. For not playing for two years, I'm in pretty good shape. My body feels a lot better. Had surgery on my left calf. I feel really good. I felt explosive. I feel light. I feel like I got my quickness. It was confirmed and I got the feeling that it went really good.

The Eagles have not found a solution at middle linebacker since Stewart Bradley was injured. After giving Joe Mays the chance to win the job, Omar Gaither has started the first two games while Mays rehabbed a shoulder strain.

"When Stewart went down, I talked to Andy about everything that was going with Jim [Johnson]," Trotter said. "I told him I was in great shape and I could help him out. Nothing happened. He called me today and told me to come in for a workout."

Perhaps this is just insurance in case there is another injury at middle linebacker. But even then, it seems like a potentially strange move.

QuoteTrotter: Nervous as heck about workout

The Eagles confirmed that they worked out former linebacker Jeremiah Trotter today at the NovaCare Complex. Trotter last played two seasons ago for Tampa Bay.

"I felt really good," Trotter said on 610-WIP. "I've been training and working out. The indication I got from everybody was that the workout went really well."

Trotter said that he first contacted coach Andy Reid about the possibility of a workout after starting middle linebacker Stewart Bradley tore his anterior cruciate ligament during training camp.

"I told him I was in great shape and I could help him out," Trotter said. "Nothing happened. But he called me today and wanted me to come in for a workout."

"Going over today I was nervous as heck because I didn't play all of last year. When I was in Tampa I practiced every day but I didn't play. ... Obviously, I'm not in football shape. That's going to take me getting out on the field."

There was an initial report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The former Pro Bowler played for the Eagles over two stints, from 1998-2001 and from 2004-06. Trotter was cut just before the 2007 season when the team decided to go with Omar Gaither at middle linebacker. Gaither is currently in the middle.

Joe Mays was given every shot to claim the job, but he failed to put his stamp on the spot and Gaither was handed the starting position. Gaither has nine tackles, a half a sack and fumble recovery through two games. Mays missed the first game with a shoulder sprain but is back practicing.

Trotter was selected to the Pro Bowl four times (2001, 2002, 2004, 2005). He has recently been a talk radio host on (610) WIP-AM. Linebacker Tracy White currently wears Trotter's old uniform, No. 54.

"I ain't worried about that at all," Trotter said. "I just want to get out there on the field."
