I am not sure if it is Shefter or PFT, but they did say they weren't sure if this was just done as a favor to Trotter.  He feels he can still play.  I can say this if he were to get signed and play, we would see TEs and RBs open all game long.  Not that they aren't now, but it would be way worse.

its just nuts

i guess its easy to have a stable consistently productive foundation when you have the same qb pro bowl caliber left and right tackles hall of fame caliber d coordinator and saftey on your team ALL for a decade or more

now with four fifths of that gone shtein seems to be falling apart now that big time decisions on replacements are needed

kind of scary to think what this franchise is going to look like when they dont have donovan anymore

the whole Stacey Andrews thing was to be expected and was talked about in one of threads when he was first acquired. Dude just had reconstructive surgery in January and has barely played live

to expect this guy to go out there an put all that weight down and plant like he did pre-surgery is a bit too much. reid looks like a complete jackass now at this point and fully admitted in one of his pressers he kind of expected this to happen.

It has been well documented how this team neglects the LB position.  I am not sure if that has something to do with being burnt early in this regime with Gardner and Caver and more recently McCoy.

The fact they are even looking at Trotter even if it is a "favor" is an unbelievably damning statement on the current players at that position.

or how about there was never any intentions and it was a bullshtein, psychological wake-up call to the other LB's

ice grillin you

running fokou with the first team this week in practice would have sent a much stronger message and been far less ridiculous if you even believe in that kind of psycho babble stuff

but really they already did that with mays in the preseason and where did it get them

i have no thoughts whatsoever that he was or is gonna get signed...its just the fact that this is even out there on espn and the wires and wip...to me it just shows that the kingdom is beginning to crumble...which in the end might be what the franchise needs but its still kinda sad that a franchise that has been the envy of most is now turning into a joke

stop it mr doom and gloom

this team just lost to the Saints without their starting qb and its already starting. regardless if the defense gave up 41 points, it happened in the 2nd game of the season and the Saints have the 2009-2010 MVP of the league that will put up the same amount of points each week like Manning of 04 and Brady of 07 to every other team

i dont care about the saints game...that was a loss to a superior team...nothing less nothing more

im talking big picture...maybe they will turn it around and win 20 games the next two years...but the personnel moves this team has made in the last year or two have been completely out of character and/or just plain awful as if they are losing it

and then with the massive losses of the last several months there is a definite recipe for disaster brewing...we wont know anything until next offseason for sure but i wouldnt be surprised at all if we look back on this time as the beginning of the end

Be more specific. What exactly is the beginning of the end?

Because they would work out and possibly sign Trotter?
