ted kennedy

if there is a hell, he is already there, driving drunk into a lake and killing his mistress
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

with any luck, you'll soon join him there

gin or bourbon last night?

Abdul Aziz al'Hakim

Interesting to see what fills the Shia power vacuum.

As for Ted, what he did is at best no different than Jerome Brown, so why get bent?
Anyone but Reid.

Well it was 40 years ago and he has done one or two things since then. It doesn't excuse anything but it's remarkable that you appear unable to get over something that happened two decades before you were born and impacted your life not one bit.

it just amazes me that people pass over murder and a life of infidelity simply because he got a few halfway decent bills passed through congress. he wasnt what i would call a decent guy but he did accomplish a lot. so there.

True.  RIP.  What galls many people though is how the government aristocracy is above all the laws of peon tax payers.  Our aristocracy does as it chooses virtually without any consequences for bad decisions.

Look. He was an elitist jackass. He was responsible for someone's death. He is the biggest icon to the nepotism of our government. But he also championed a number of laws that made this country far more fair and from a political standpoint appears to have always done what he thought was right and best for the country.

People may be guilty of overlooking his faults, but you seem just as guilty of overlooking his good qualities.

Oh and are you farging kidding with the 'life of infidelity' shtein? Who cares if people sleep around and cheat on each other. It's the exception when that doesn't happen. People who stay faithful should be commended but who gives a shtein? What does that have to do with anything?

Sgt PSN

people who stay faithful should have their farging heads examined.  the sooner people realize that monogamy is the single worst idea man has ever come up with, the sooner everyone goes out and starts getting laid more often.  thus, the world becomes a slightly safer, happier place to live.

Michael Vick, the dog murderer, deserves a second chance. Ted Kennedy, who ran from a drowning, did not?

I guess we'll let a higher power decide that now. (Or not.)

Dimwit, MDS isn't saying that Kennedy didn't deserve a second chance. He's saying that he was given a second chance without any questions asked or hesitation or jail time or losing his government job because he was a Kennedy.
