i didnt make a prediction

peep the words "as it stands today"....that means right now...in the present...its not a prediction of any sort

Is there any doubt that if the Eagles do end up at 7-9, IGY will repost and flout his prediction as how smart and great he is?

But if they don't, and someone calls him on it, he can easily say "I said it wasn't a prediction"

QuoteBETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Today was Day 2 of live hitting here at training camp with the action dialed up a notch. The sessions were a little more chippy, and the crowds larger and more animated thanks to the nicest day of the week. The early live portion dealt more with the running game; the latter part saw more passing. Here are some observations from yours truly embedded:

-- The individual pass blocking drills were illuminating. GOOD: Fullback Leonard Weaver looked flawless handling linebacker Moise Fokou and then linebacker Omar Gaither on two occassions. Running back LeSean McCoy squared up nicely with Quintin Mikell, but the safety returned the favor and blew past the rookie on their next turn. BAD: Lorenzo Booker had his troubles. The running back was blocking too much inside was getting burnt around the corner. This prompted a cry from someone in the crowd: "Come on, Booker, you're a turnstile." Rookie tight end Eugene Bright still needs work.

-- The one-on-one individuals provided perhaps the best matchup of the day between DeSean Jackson and Sheldon Brown. Score two points for the veteran cornerback who got the best of the second-year wide receiver. Jackson didn't have a bad day, though, by any stretch of the imagination. He caught two bombs from Donovan McNabb during live hitting and took both for scores.

-- The first real scrum of camp happened when Bright tried to take on the entire third-team defense. It was hard to see exactly who the tight end got into it first with because he was surrounded by so many defenders. In the end, Bright pulled off linebacker Tracy White's helmet before the fight was broken up. The best fights of camp usually occur when the third teams go at it. They have a lot more to play for during camp than the first two teams.

-- There were probably a few too many drops today: Brent Celek, Jason Avant and Brandon Robinson all put the football on the carpet. Celek did have a nice catch-and-run earlier in the day.

-- Jeremy Maclin is still not here. Stop me if you've heard this before. The rookie wideout has now missed the first week of camp. As of this writing, there are 17 first-rounders signed, including the Nos. 16, 17, 20 and 21 selections. The Eagles took Maclin at No. 19. There are now two first-round WRs signed with No. 29 Hakeem Nicks' inking a deal with the Giants today. No. 7 pick Darrius Heyward-Bey signed with Oakland earlier this week. No. 10 Michael Crabtree, No. 22 Percy Harvin and No. 30 Kenny Britt remained unsigned. Last we heard, the Eagles gave Maclin agent Jim Steiner their best offer and were waiting for a response.

-- Kevin Curtis was back practicing after limping off the field of yesterday's morning session with a thigh bruise. He missed yesterday afternoon's practice, but said today that he feels fine.

igy you stand out like a sore thumb. I saw you from about 100 yards away. Middle section bleachers, standing and leaning in the back row. You had a white t-shirt with a bell on it and a backwards green cap.

Bright was throwing haymakers at everyone. Sean McDermott actually got in the middle and everyone stopped.

Ingram's name should be on this list. Don't get me wrong, he's a beast and made some nice plays, but he had quite a few drops.

Desean Jackson was the best player on the field. Sheldon Brown did hold him in check a few times though.

Shady is fast, he also blocks well and was exceptional in pass protection.

Trent Cole looks like he bulked up a bit.

its interesting that you thought Shady blocked well, because that was his only real knock coming out of college.  if Westbrook can show him how it's done, the dude should be a complete back
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Rome

Considering they don't actually run the ball a whole lot, then yeah, blocking ability on passing downs is a bit of a must for any running back in that freak show of an offense.

That's why I mentioned it. In 1 on 1 drills he didn't get beat once. During the live sessions he was solid as a rock and made a really nice crackback block on one of the DEs ( I think it was Parker) which gave McNabb a chance to roll out and throw a strike to D. Jackson. And I'd just like to reitierate Desean Jackson is an absolute stud.

Anyone see Sean Jones? I wanted to see what he was all about but didn't see him on the field.

its way to early to make predictions camp is less than a day old...but i have a general sense of doom which is not good as im usually on point with these things...

that said im totally open to reworking their record to a 10-6 or something...long way to go before the season starts but right now there are so many questions and so much upheaval with this team since last year that for it all to work itself out in a smooth manner is very unlikely....but lets give them time

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhahahahahahaha!!

dont you have a black president to assasinate or something?

I think you should assassinate yourself. If for nothing else, then bad punctuation and spelling.

In all seriousness, if IGY stopped posting, then this board would be about 1/10th as much fun as it is.
There has got to be at least one loud-mouth person who is willing to argue about everything, otherwise what would we talk about?
farging rain-delayed training camp and special teams battles?
