I can't even think of a supplemental draft player in recent years that has gone on to a notable career. Anyone else know of any? I think odds are against them.

yeah, just last year. 

and this isn't a horrible move by the skins.  apparently 5 teams submitted 4th round picks for this guy, including the eagles.

yeah its no better or worse than any other 3rd round pick...if the guy pans out its good and if not its bad

i think the point of this is, the taterskins again overvalued someone.  Maybe he's well worth a 3rd, but they do it every draft even if they have picks, and will always take players much earlier than other orgs

they only overvalued him if he doesnt turn out to be a player....no different than the eagles overvaluing 3rd rounders like tony hunt or matt mccoy

as opposed to the taterskins trading away a pick for tj duckett or the many other pathetic ways they give up picks
