It's Elkton Dio, i'd say 85% of people here cant count.

You guys seriously have no idea just how evil Truett Cathy is.   Trust me, he is.

i'm imagining a plate of steak and spinach.  i don't see how a bloody tampon hides on that plate.

anything served with a tampon is pretty rare

Sgt PSN

perhaps the dude ordered his extra bloody.

I'm not from Philly but some say I'm blunt.

does it require dressing up in a coffee bean suit?

Sgt PSN

that would make him a beaner.  which would be rather redundant.

I ate at Whole Foods this morning in Orlando.  I had a mushroom, spinach, tomato & cheese omelet that was just amazing.   The thing was huge and only ended up costing me $2.52, which if you know Whole Foods, is like free.

Also got a couple of the beef & chicken empanadas for breakfast for tomorrow.  Those things are delicious too.

for the most part, i'm a cheesesteak traditionalist.....don't get too wrapped up in the different varieties of cheesesteak.  usually it's steak, cheese, mushrooms.  depending on my mood, either wiz or provolone.  it's also been a few years since i ordered a cheesesteak outside the greater philly area because nearly every one i've had has been disappointing. i bucked both trends yesterday.

went to a local sammich shop for lunch and saw a bacon cheesesteak on the menu.  at first i dismissed the notion but some guy 2 places ahead of me in line ordered one and when i saw it come up, it looked and smelled pretty damn good.  so i went for it.

overall, i'd give it a b-.  plenty of steak and 5 good sized strips of bacon topped with a wiz-like cheese sauce.  the downer to it was that the sandwich was on the smaller side, the bacon appeared to be low(er) quality bacon and there was almost no grease at all to be seen.  not bad, but not great either though.

There's a joint down here near where I work that does a bacon cheesesteak.  Dude who owns the place is from Bridgeton, NJ and he does a pretty decent version of it.  Only thing is he uses Amoroso rolls which I think are worse than the sort of hoagie rolls you can get from most supermarkets, but it's better than nothing, I guess.

Anyway - as long as the bacon is extra crispy I'd eat it with just about anything - even cheesesteaks.

ice grillin you

one of the things i want to accomplish in life before i die is to destroy the notion that amoroso rolls are somehow good much less the best bread out of philly and the fact that they represent the city to people that either dont live there or have moved away and forgotten how good real philly bread can be and is

ive been meaning to go to this little french bistro in the west village called tartine for a long time...finally gonna go next weekend and just found out that gerard butler ate there not long ago....if it was anywhere else on the planet you wouldnt be able to get a seat for at least the next year but because its nyc that shtein doesnt even register on the restaurant richter scale cause no one up there gives a shtein about stuff like that which is what makes it probably the best place in the world to visit
