Anyone seen a good movie lately?

Just finished Near Dark. Solid vampire movie that randomly features half of the Aliens cast.

The Happening was on Cinemax and I heard so many bad things about it that I just had to check it out. It was even worse than I imagined. The horrible acting is so bad it's worth watching. I never thought Mark Wahlberg was a great actor but he usually does well enough to pull his character off. In this he took bad to a new level.

I didn't think he was that terrible...I think it was the writing more than anything.

The movie itself just...sucked.

marky mark has been not terrible in one movie and one movie only...departed...thats it thats the list

ironically in that movie he was actually the best person in it with a bunch of heavyweights...guess that goes to the power of scorcese

he was his ultimate hack it up worst in four brothers and fear....fear is one big overracting hack workshop

An actor has to execute his lines, I will say this in his defense his supporting cast was equally as bad and drug his performance down even further.

I agree but....I don't think anyone or anything could have saved that movie.

It had some of the cheesiest writing I've ever heard in a "major" movie that wasn't a chick flick.

Also, Marky Mark was pretty solid in The Perfect Storm and Invincible.

Nothing was solid about Invincible outside of the fact that it revolved around the Eagles. It was a pretty terrible movie and he runs like a midget.

I loved Invincible, but if were about say the Giants it wouldn't rate so high. I thought the soundtrack and where certain songs were played in the movie really helped moved the story along. The opening with Jim Croce's "I've got a name" and landmarks of the city was just an awesome beginning.

I also enjoyed it, and also probably wouldn't have liked it as much if it were about another NFL team. But Marky Mark's acting was still pretty solid, especially for him.
