Fire At The NFLPA's Offices

Per Chris Mortensen of ESPN, a fire broke out there earlier this morning.


The fire started in Executive Director De Smith's office.  Most of the damage was caused by the internal sprinker system.

There is no current suspicion that foul play was involved, but the union has provided to investigators access to its internal surveillance system.

UPDATE:  We've obtained exclusive access to the tapes.  There's audio, too — let it play to the end.

Rams still for sale, but now Rosenbloom has opened it up to sellers anywhere.  Opening it up for the Rams to leave The Loo.

Good.  These ass-faces don't deserve a football team.  They'll probably go back to LA, who also doesn't deserve a football team.

Dave Checketts, owner of the Blues, is reportedly putting up a group of local investors to buy the 60% Rosenbloom owns.  It would be structured so Sports Capital Partners Worldwide (the group Checketts founded) can be a partial owner, still own the Blues, and be within NFL guidelines.

He is also a Mormon.

You gotta have one point man who has final say over the direction of a franchise.  That one guy may be a complete idiot... but at least the franchise moves one way or the other.
