That's nice.  :yay

The Eagles got out of the draft:

* The consensus #2 wideout prospect and a guy projected to go in the Top 10
* A top 5 running back prospect who appears to fit our system very well
* A young LT who's been to multiple Pro Bowls
* A young CB with starting experience on a good defense

In addition to decent prospects at TE (Ingram) and CB/S (Harris).

Even if the entire draft class completely busts, they've walked away with at minimum a starting left tackle and capable dime/nickel corner. On paper at least, I don't see how this draft grades out ot anything less than a solid B. And I absolutely hated their last two drafts after the fact.

Based on our analysis, the winners in each division this year were the Cleveland Browns in the AFC and the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC.

i can't take that seriously when they refer to each conference as divisions.  i also can't take any draft evaluation seriously that doesn't openly mock dallas and oakland

They got the details of the Peters trade wrong too.

And is McCoy really a change of pace?

PoopyfaceMcGee

Well, Westbrook will run the correct routes and will block.  Shady isn't ready for those things just yet.

The problem is that opposing defenses will know as soon as McCoy enters the game that it's a running play.  So, I expect his initial usefulness will be limited to obvious run situations and "trick plays" where he goes in motion to the slot.

Seabiscuit36

McCoy is pretty damn good at receiving, and screens.
"For all the civic slurs, for all the unsavory things said of the Philadelphia fans, also say this: They could teach loyalty to a dog. Their capacity for pain is without limit." -Bill Lyons

Hence, why he might line up in the slot at times.

how do you figure...i agree with you that isnt going to be ready to run wr type routes out of the slot but he will definitely be big on screens plus wheel and flat routes

and do you really think theres a formation situation or personnel group that could ever say that andy reid of all guys is going to run

True.  He out-thinks himself half the time.

On NFL Live last night, Schlereth was saying how he loved the Peters trade because now the Eagles can become a running team. Eric Allen laughed in his face.

I will believe it when I see it, but the team is definitely built to run more than 38% of the time.

Sgt PSN

at least 39%.  maybe even 40.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Whoa there, Sassy.  Let's not get carried away.

Sgt PSN

getting carried away is what i do.  it's what makes me sassy in the first place.  why do you want me to stop being me?
