QuoteMichael Mitchell was convinced he was going to Chicago at 49

And, if the Raiders didn't get him at No. 47, the Bears were ready to pounce at No. 49, according to the Ohio University hitter. Mitchell was sure he was headed there when the Raiders traded down from No. 40 in the second round.

"I thought I was going to Chicago," Mitchell said. "Because they had told me to stay close to my phone. When they did that, I was like OK, 'I'm going to be a Chicago Bear.' That's what I was thinking. Oakland was able to get to 47. They traded back and it takes a couple of minutes to tell you where they will be. When I saw it was 47, I thought there was still a chance there. It's so amazing how this has happened and worked out. I'm just pumped."

The Raiders got Mitchell, projected by many to go later in the second day. The Bears traded away their No. 49 pick, apparently because Mitchell was their answer at safety.

Not surprising to read this because Jerry Angelo is a boob of a GM too

There's actually some quality left at RB.

Needs go:
1. Secondary
2. TE
3. DE
4. Everything else.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

1. Secondary
2. TE
3. DE
4. QB
5. Everything else

They gotta add some competition at QB.

yes, they do. If Kolb is the Eagles' backup option this season...ugh.

The Jets did the same thing the Eagles did a few years ago... traded up to the first pick of the 2nd day to get a guy from Iowa.

Something tells me that Shonn Greene might be a better player than Sean Considine.

I wanna see Coffman in the 3rd..

Absolutely.  Same here, man.  He should be there.

The Bengals have now taken three straight guys with character issues.  They all have talent, no doubt, but I have to wonder if Marvin Lewis is more stubborn and set in his ways than Reid.

There are a bunch of TE's still out there.  Is Coffman better than Ingram?

Also, as a Penn Stater, I'm on Derrick Williams watch a little bit.  I do NOT want the Eagles to get him at this point.  He's a MD boy, so I wonder if the skins will pull the trigger.

Terrance Knighton goes early 3rd to Jacksonville. Temple football!
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Dude, you're small time.  Munson had cocktails with Mike Gibson and Danny Amendola.

Depends on what you want for your TE.

If you're looking for the blocking TE... honestly, look elsewhere.  He's decent at it, but in Missouri's O, they didn't ask him to do it very often.

If you figure there's no way in hell Andy Reid even knows what a blocking TE is, let alone being ready to draft one (which is where I am), then Coffman is a great pick.  He's an athletic, down the field thread who has spectacular hands and is an elite pass catcher.

Derrick Williams will love Detroit.

Holy crap - only a 4.67?  How the hell?  He ran a sub 4.4 before college.

Detroit starts a run on WR...
