my god ot playoff hockey when your team is involved is the worst
The Pens/Flyers super OT game was the worst.

Only until it ended. Then it was one of my favorite flyers moments ever.

Yep. I remember that game better than I remember any games from last year's playoffs. I spent half the night pulling my hair out trying to mentally prepare myself for a loss of that magnitude. Then at 2:30 or whenever it ended I was so pumped I stayed up another four hours celebrating that shtein. Classic Flyers moment.

I remember that game.  Had to get up at 5:15 for school the next day, then had an all-night field trip with my 8th graders. Got home about 5:15 the next morning.

48 hours on about 1 hour sleep (if that) after Primeau's goal.  I think I was hallucinating on my way home from the field trip.

Good times.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QuoteFlyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen questioned if the officials are treating his team the same as the Penguins.

"What I noticed was, I didn't see the refs yelling at their bench at all. Not one time," Timonen said. "I could see them coming over to our bench a few times. It makes you always wonder why."

Timonen said the Flyers deserved the same respect from the refs as he feels they gave Pittsburgh.

"You see these guys going to the refs and talking to them, and it looks like (the refs) talk to them back," Timonen said. "We go talk to them and they yell at us. It's a little bit of a difference. It's not something we can control."

Flyers coach John Stevens hoped the players like captain Mike Richards, Timonen and Simon Gagne were respected enough by the officials that they would at least earn the chance to explain their gripes and grievances

The Flyers can start complaining about the refs when they stop getting outplayed up and down the ice. The refs aren't the ones physically dominating the Flyers.

I dont see the refs calling a thing today.  Pittsburgh going up 3-0 in Philly.  Mcreary was great to start the game, but once that hooking call happened on Carter it was back to the ol shteinshow climbing up the shteinrope

QuoteAccording to the Elias Sports Bureau, there has been only one other playoff game since at least 1933 decided by a two-man advantage overtime goal. Tampa Bay beat Washington 4-3 in 2003 when Vincent Lecavalier scored 2:21 into the extra session.
