Wanna go into a scary world, look at any Gun Forums.  Holy christ what a bunch of weirdos.  I joined one in MD just to get discounts at stores and shtein, and am actually fighting with some moron who thinks Palin is smarter than Obama.

A quick story on political shenanigans, local style:

Our neighborhood was granted a $50,000 stipend to do "beautification" by the State.  Our local commissioner asked for ideas on what to spend it on and actually got some decent ideas.  The only thing people did not want was more tree plantings.  The idea was floated at a commission meeting and the representative from our neighborhood presented a petition signed by 27 of 29 homeowners requesting that the trees not be planted for various reasons.

This guy literally promised to our faces that he would table the motion and fix the issue.  What does he do then?  Rams it through during a meeting that where the issue was not scheduled to be discussed.  I just found out about it on Sunday, so I called the guy to ask him what the farg he was doing.  He said he didn't have to discuss anything with me or anyone one else in this zone and basically said he was going to do whatever he wanted without regard for any of his constituents.

I usually don't get involved in local politics, but after hearing that response, I told that motherfarger that I'm going to make it my life's mission to get him voted out of office.
