Just got back from Macaroni Grill (two coworkers have a birthday today).  The best part is getting to draw on the tables

Macaroni Grill is nasty.  Chili's may be worse for you, but it doesn't taste like grease on a plate.

did they come out and sing to them? I love when they do that, especially when I'm at the next table over.

Nah, we spared them that embarrassment.  Hell, it took 20 minutes just to ask for the bill...

Me and some of my boys from work were eating at Pappadeaux's the other night and I swear that they must have sung Happy Birthday 10 times. It seemed like every 5 minutes they were coming out to sing. And this is a somewhat pricey joint $40/per person type place. Annoying.

birthdays are contagious at places like that.

I used to go to Carrabbas with a buddy of mine and his family for birthdays and such. We'd bet a meal on the over/under with the number of times they would come out and sing happy birthday. On a weekend night seven was about average but I think it's gone down over the years.
Helpful hint: when in doubt take the over, and if need be order an extra couple of drinks and desert (the John Coltrane is pretty good and takes a while to eat).

I was in Greenville, SC last week for work and our customer asked to take us out for lunch. I told them I wanted someplace that would offer more local flavor, so they took us to http://www.buckysbbq.com/.  I had the bbq pork sandwich, sweet potato crunch & cole slaw.

While the place wasn't anything to look at, the meal itself gave me that same satisfied, soul-fulfilling peace that is normally only found after having sex with someone other than my wife.

Next time you have bbq at home, you need to make this: Sweet Potato Crunch, just use walnuts instead of pecans.

i'm making Pulled pork as we speak in the crockpot.  Bought a pork shoulder(didnt realize this one had the skin still on there) pour white vinegar and malt vinegar over the meat, add Stubbs Pork marinade, and Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, and let it cook for 8 hours on low

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

if it turns out good, gimmie some.  I have to make some more crab dippin sauce, its delicious.  I cant wait for summer and a bushel of crabs.

Odd indeed.  I'm more a fan of the aforementioned Sweet Baby Ray's than the "Carolina-style" stuff.
