I think the Devils are the best team in hockey right now and with Marty back, anyone who labels the East as wide open is delusional.  It would take a miracle to beat them in a series.

if theodore plays like he has since december i think the caps come out of the east...they have owned the atlantic division this year even when he was off his game...if he slips in the playoffs i like the devils like everyone else...unless nitty cent gets hot...then its look out league

Theodore is such an enigma.  The guy is stellar at points, and completely falls apart soon after.  Ever since his "Propecia" roids issue, and his dad getting busted, he's been a mess.

The only team in the East the Flyers can't beat in a 7 game series right now is NJ.
I don't doubt, however, that another team like the Caps could take NJ. Or even the Habs if they play as good as they can.

first you downgrade boston for beating up on a weak division and insinuating they dont match up with the flyers division...except boston has dominated the flyers division and the flyers are but .500 against bostons division.....500 because according to you the flyers play down to inferior competition...except when they play the most inferiror division in the nhl the southeast which the flyers dominate....

And yes, the Flyers play down to competition. To take a favorite argument of yours...maybe if you watched the games instead of looking at just the numbers, you would know how infuriating it is to watch them play against lesser opponents sometimes, even when they do come out with the win.

[11:56am] Some news out of Philly camp... apparently they're closing in on a deal. I'm waiting for more info on that subject... Edmonton, meanwhile, is trying to get its hands on a first line winger. If they get it, they'll move Erik Cole.

Sabres just traded for Tellquist so they aren't taking Biron which may spell doom for any Bouwmeester deal. I hope the rumored deal with Phoenix isn't true.
