Anyone had a crappy meal at a cheap joint lately?

i can understand if youre MA and have zesty restaurant choices but i will never understand how someone from the northeast could ever eat at one of those places...i mean maryland has incredible seafood yet there are red lobsters everywhere...and theres olive gardens in the philly new jersey and nyc area like there isnt incredible italian spots every two blocks

Pretty much.

I dont think I went to a chain joint more than 5 times in the time I lived there. With all the mom and pop places available, where you get much better food...there is no reason for the chains to exist up there.

Down here there's nothing but. And I'm sick of the same old places. Now I hit up the little mexican taquerias, a hamburger joint called SOuthwell's and a few other local places.

Papasito's used to be great back in the day in houston.  Go over to Bay City, we used to always go to Landry's.

Oh yeah, I kill Pappasito's. Their fajitas are awesome. One of our corporate guys was here last night and he took us to Pappadeaux's. That place is expensive as farg, and I dont really like fish. But I killed some cajun chicken and shrimp.

Yeah, their stuff is loaded down.

I use FitDay to track my calories each day and when we'd go to Chili's I would go get the nutritional facts from their website and input them. SO by looking at that several times I know what to stay away from. I usually eat some skillet queso and a turkey sandwich.

It is very, very good.  If you like Samoas/Caramel DeLites and you like ice cream, it is pretty much everything you've ever dreamed of.

you make it sound easier than it is....for example 95% of the candy bar ice creams dont taste like the candy bar they are mixed with...youre saying this one does taste like samoas?
