It's delicious in a cheap-beer-that-tastes-awful-until-you're-on-number-7 kind of way.

No. Steel Reserve is never delicious. Ever.

Edit: Nevermind, I was thinking of Iron City. Steel Reserve is indeed awful-then-delicious delicious.

Whenever i've had Steel Reserve, the first 3/4 of the 40 is like drinking metal.  After that it tastes good, and you are ready to drink 5 more, and have the worst hangover possible.

I am way out of practice, but I have a 22 year old son who is intensively training. I have seen him and his friend drink a case (12  40's) of Steel Reserve as a pregame.

I will take you up on your challenge sir.  Next Tailgate?

I promised myself i wouldnt drink Steel ever again, but i'd do it to prove a point.  I only know RJS thru the interwebs, but i'd definitely say he's up to the challenge.
