Ironically, I spend all of my run-of-the-mill-regularly-scheduled paycheck money on booze and tips. Any time I get a 'bonus' or 'stimulus check' of some sort it immediately goes to paying off debt.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

That's the true spirit of bi-partisanship. The guy actually votes his conscience instead of sucking up to Pelosi.
Alert, alert. Look well at the rainbow. The fish will be running very soon.

So Repubelicans via their Faux News channel loved to blame Bill Clinton for 9/11 even though Bush had been in office for nine months. You don't hear it from them yet, but is there any doubt that this time next year they'll be blaming Obama for this recession and/or depression?

The "racist" is stalker.  The "hillbilly" is Shuler.  Try to keep up.

He's right by the way.

Who?

rjs246

Shuler. The Dems had a chance to be heroes and instead decided to load up a bill with inexpensive but partisan-ly infuriating pet projects while not letting the Pubs help craft the House Bill. They wanted to impose their will rather than take Obama's bi-partisanship as an edict for their behavior.

After eight goddamn years of having Bush cram it up their asses without lube is it really such a surprise that the Democrats would prefer to craft legislation without the GOP's interference?

Shuler's a Democrat in name only.  The only reason he ran as a Democrat from the western Carolina shteinhole district he hails from is because he was facing an eight-term incumbent in the GOP.

No, it's not a shock at all. But it could have been an immediate sign of change and instead Pelosi took it upon herself to dictate policy to her party and the opposition while putting the new President in a terrible position.

Playing 'payback' for 8 years of being marginalized with the very first major act since the new regime took over is a very fast way to turn centrists off and Pelosi should be hanged for it.

All politics are partisan, rjs.  You know that.  Pelosi has a hammer and she's using it now.  At some point there may be a time for bipartisan cooperation, but right now, at this juncture, she has to wield the gavel like a sledgehammer.   And I'm glad she's doing it too.

As for Shuler, if he's so upset about the leadership of the Democratic Party then he can always line up his coalition of Blue Dogs and run for it himself.
