i thought michael shannon was better than winselt and dicaprio combined in revolutionary road...btw anyone that hasnt seen it needs to watch bug...an incredibly slept on movie in which shannon gives one of the best performances youll ever see...and yes RR was so plodding

I watched Iron Man last night for the first time.  I was not as impressed with Downey as every one seems to be, but I suppose that he was good in the context of a stupid super hero movie.  Bridges was pretty good too.

I watched Iron Man last night for the first time.  I was not as impressed with Downey as every one seems to be, but I suppose that he was good in the context of a stupid super hero movie.  Bridges was pretty good too.

Paltrow I'm in love with all over again though.

I think most ppl who loved Downey in the movie were really just complimenting how much it matched how Iron Man/Tony Stark is supposed to be like. Or how he is in the comics. Downey seemed to be just playing himself but thats basically what the character is so ppl loved. Very rarely do comic book characters get the right actor. He also looks very similar to the character.

I thought the movie was good up until they realized "HEY WE DO NOT HAVE A VILLAIN IN THIS MOVIE OR A END FIGHT" and then it seemed like they dropped everything and rushed into a crappy villain and a crappy ending. I mean that end conflict lasts about 5 min max. Basically everything after he comes back from rescuing the villagers in Afghanistan sucked.

Speaking of superhero movies I just re watched Superman Returns last night on FX:

Wow this movie sucks. I remember it being bad but it was worse this time around. Superman has always been one of my least favorite or least interesting to me characters but they botched this up pretty bad.

We are supposed to believe that Superman 3 never took place and that this movies takes place 5 yrs after Superman 2. Somehow he knocked up Lois without killing her vagina. He left Earth and all the villains on Earth so he could ummm look to see if Krypton was still intact.

And if that is not enough they bring Lex back again. Does Superman even have anyother villains? I mean I know he does but every movie its the same. Lex gets some kryptonite, hatches some evil plan to take over the world, Superman comes to the rescue BUT WAIT...the kyrptonite starts to kill him, till he finally overcomes it thanks to help from Lois and crew, and finally he puts Lex behind the slammer again. I hope they never make another Superman movie again.
