It's not quite there.  It's trying to be kind of like "House," but I don't think Roth's character is interesting enough, and the rest of the characters are all wildly one-dimensional and uninteresting.  There's the kind of hot middle aged coworker lady in a bad marriage!  There's the goofy guy with a gimmick (he always tells the truth!).  There's the streetwise latina babe!

Whatever.  I like it.  It's not great, but it's more entertaining than a lot of other shows.

Yeah I think your right. It's trying to be house. The actors so far just aren't as engaging. The science isn't all that believable either. I can only suspend reality for so long before I start throwing darts at it.

Battlestar Galactica is excellent.  Life On Mars is great, and Chuck and Big Bang Theory are good shows.  Big Bang Theory actually makes me laugh a lot.
