i can't believe this is happening.  farging devin thomas is sitting right there.  and they're going to take a developmental offensive tackle.

i want to rape andy reid's kids with a croquet mallet.

Yeah, Devin Thomas proved out to be much better than Otah. Show's how easy it is to pick those star wide outs.

Did you really go back nine months into this thread and search for something I posted during the draft?

You are without a doubt the most useless human being on Earth.  Please, please, please end your miserable existence, but before you do, please kill anyone you've ever met so that your memory dies with them.

Schefter says Dustin Keller from Purdue here

Oh how I wish they went for that...

Anyway in other infuriating news Spadaro today claimed that had the Eagles not traded out of the first and say selected Otah they would have come out of the first 2 rounds with Otah and Laws. I guess selecting a backup high motor DT was such a priority that no matter what they were going to select him in the 2nd round and then lose out on Desean.

They could have had Otah and Desean. Or a Felix Jones and Desean. Or a Keller and Desean.

Still not going to complain too much about it since I thought it was a good move at the time. Besides would not want Stalker to find a post of mine from last year saying how I was for the move.

:boom  The thought of Felix Jones in the birds backfield makes me say "farg" as in "Why the farg didn't we get this guy?"

I don't see why the Eagles would want to draft a RB before the 3rd or even 4th round unless they drastically change the offensive philosophy.

mussa

I can only dream of that happening and by dream I mean wet

very valid point...and the fact all these mocks have Beanie Wells coming here first pick makes me laugh alot.

Westbrooks been on one leg for how many years now....and the Eagles still havent flinched in the very early rds.

Actually your right and drafting a RB in the first round, unless its someone like Peterson, is not that important. The problem is the talent evaluation. Since Westbrook this team has drafted guys like Moats and Hunt and traded for Booker. They simply can not evaluate skill position talent. All of the WRs, besides Desean, have been huge busts or just role players like Avant. They can not draft a WR or RB, constantly need one, and refuse to use those picks to trade for a proven player at those positions because you know those pics are so valuable.

I refuse to believe its because they are just so terrbile at it. I mean yeah they suck but its also because they simply do not emphasize the position as much. Its not vital in their eyes to winning.

ice grillin you

the amount of #1 wr's in the league is minimal...they are really hard to evaluate so i cant totally bash the front office for failing there....its how many times they have utterly whiffed that is maddening

the biggest criticism should be in not getting a free agent wr or wr via trade who is if not a #1 at least would become no question your best wr and a #1 for your team
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

I agree. I'm angered by the FOs love affair with draft picks that they're no good at using anyway
