I haven't seen a single best picture nominee this year. I only sort of want to see any of them and am thrilled about none.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

i've met a lot of people that liked it but to be honest i fell asleep after almost 2 hours, so maybe it becomes amazing in the last hour.  doubtful though.

Im supposed to go see Underworld 3, i might just snort some ambien before i go because i have no interest in this since it has no Kate Beckinsale

i cant remember a year where the top movies have been so luke warmly received by critics...slumdog is the only movie i can recall this year that was universally loved...dark knight when it came out was but people have backed off it big time since...im sure theres a couple others but its been a super weak year as far as critics go
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

"The Dark Knight" is simply suffering the fate many commercially successful movies face at Oscar time.  Snobby voters.

It probably is honestly the best picture of the year.

its not even close to the best of the year

people were going way overbopard on it upon its release because of heath ledger....but i think critics eventually got it right on dark night...good or even very good but not great movie

slumdog millionaire was probably the best i've seen this year but i would never put it in the oscar worthy category.

Yeah usually movies about Indians or non white ppl are terrible.

When movies like the Reader get nominated and sit at 50% on rotten tomatoes, the Dark Knight should have at least been nominated. Eps considering how crappy movies like Lord Of The Rings were nominated every year and even won movie of the year for the last one.

It is also retarded that they need to create another category to honor some of the animated films. Wall E was amazing. Wall E should be nominated like a regular movie not some watered down category.

I guess Pixar should make a animated movie about the Holocaust to ever get considered.

Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

Wall-E was def. better than Slumdog.  I actually saw them both, too.
