Before the Devil Knows Your Dead: I can not decide if I liked it or loved it. I mean its very well acted, the story is unique and interesting, Marise Tomei is naked tons...but its just so sad. For some odd reason I kept picturing myself in that situation and it kept putting me down.

I saw it a couple weeks ago. I liked it, didn't love it. The ending was lame. Did you by any chance laugh out loud when Seymour Hoffman went commando in the apartment towards the end and made that funny face when he shot the guy through the pillow? It was so sudden and random I found it frickin hilarious.

Actually....SPOILER ALERT:

I was pretty surprised by that. I knew everything was falling apart and he was going to lose it but when he did shoot those two I was caught off guard. I am glad he shot the dealer. Wearing silk robes....the nerve

Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

The Bucket List -- you knew how it was going to end but it was still sad.  Good movie though.  4/5

The Spirit - Felt like Sin City, but it wasn't. I def. liked Sin City better, not sure if I liked the Spirit better than 300. Same visuals as Sin Ciy, which are amazing and it had another 50's style feel to it. There were quite a few moments that had the theater laughing, wasn't expecting that. I have a whole new appreciation for Eva Mendes. Good god I would do bad things to her. I'm give it 3/5. If you were a big fan of Sin City go see it, otherwise wait for rental.

I bought Airplane as a gift for myself during Consumerfest.

One of my favorite quotes:

Rumack: Captain, how soon can you land?
Captain Oveur: I can't tell.
Rumack: You can tell me. I'm a doctor.
Captain Oveur: No. I mean I'm just not sure.
Rumack: Well, can't you take a guess?
Captain Oveur: Well, not for another two hours.
Rumack: You can't take a guess for another two hours?
I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

pretty much agree with you, especially on the latter point.  I thought the actor who played the snake oil salesman/preacher was excellent.  The movie would not have been nearly as good if the actor opposite Day Lewis didn't hold up his end of the narrative

slum dog millionaire - superbly made movie but it had a few to many implausibilities and was to neatly tied up at the end which kept it from being a great movie - 7/10

Boiler Room - never saw this movie but heard a lot about it.  really enjoyed it.  good cast, with even Vin Diesel not being awful.

Wanted - mindless action, improbable stunts, Jolie's ass, pretty good movie.

Tales of Desperaux - some decently heavy stuff for a kids movie...death, sadness, jealously.  it wasn't really funny, although it had it's moments.  the kids enjoyed it, which is what matters, i couldn't give a farg.

Amazingly enough, right?  Giovanni Ribisi kind of always plays the same guy, but he's good at it.
