According to the announcers, Reid has the highest Pass to Run ratio of any head coach in NFL History.

Hi, I'm October.  Have we met?

I knew he passed way too much, but didn't realize he was the historical leader in the category. I thought Mike Martz may have earned that honor.

That stat was based off coaches who have coached at least 100 games

Not to mention the pass tonight was partially deflected.

People didn't like Kolb since the pick and he'll never get a fair shake in this town.

Part of being a QB is finding a throwing lane, it's 100% his fault the ball was partially deflected. His second pass was deflected too. He looked like shtein in mop up duty, this is the same guy that was bitching and moaning that he got sat after he sucked vs. the Ravens. He needs to earn his 'fair shake' just like every other athlete does.

QuoteMcNabb ain't necessarily known for his touch passes.  9 seconds is plenty of time for a rollout for McNabb to either run it in, hit an open guy or chuck it to stop the clock for one more play.

Everything was correct except McNabb running it in the endzone. Those days are bye-bye

It looks like he's trying to force it, hence the tipped passes. I don't know if he'll ever be a good NFL qb, and it doesn't look like it as of now. But one thing is for shore, and it could be as early as next year, we are going to be the ones who suffer through finding out.

Please, please don't get rid of Dmac. Not yet. He's 32 years old, and finally looks healthy. Fire Reid and bring in a real coach. I really want Spagnola (sp?), but would also be happy with Cowher. I think McNabb could thrive under either coach because you know that either one would want to run the ball first.

And Jaws reiterating the fact that he believed (so he was basically told) that if Kolb had done well in the Ravens game then he would have been the starter is scary.

This guy has no feel for the game thus far. Even Mike McMahon looked competent compared to Kolb.

Getting rid of McNabb is/will be a massive mistake.

How is that any different than simply "deflected" or even "completely deflected?"

Partially deflected = tip (see Kolb's first pass)
Completely deflected = rejected like in Basketball (see Kolb's second pass)

Feva

Tip or not tip...

All I know is Kolb playing in 2 games = 2 INT's for TD's.

At this point, a 3 and out could be considered a plus for this guy.

I heard Reid was a bad coach and a worse father.

the fade has worked this season the previous two times this season so i understand the call.

i could also see that with 9 seconds left and no timeouts they wanted a quick pass and if its incomplete still have time to line up for a FG.

i get all that. but still i would just have mcnabb sneak the ball in.

and for once yesterday they lined bwest and cbuck at the same time in the backfield. of course they passed mostly out of those formations but still it was nice to see.

if they play like that against the skins they will not win. i hope this was reids "i need to pass and get it out of my system" game and i hope he puts his ego aside for the skins game.

i know better but i still hope :(

The pass will never be out of his system. I'm hoping that game was planned to not rely on Westbrook because the Browns suck

Oh I know that. My point was that after the past two weeks all Reid has been asked about is the balance. And even if he hates to run the ball he knows with this team, this QB, and this group of WRs you can not air it out. Or maybe he does not know. But I think maybe he thought to himself we can win this game either way so let me pass as much as possible, win, and then maybe I can swallow my pride for one or two more games the following weeks.

I am not delusional enough to think he has changed, but maybe he keeps it up for the remainder of the season. Week 1 next yr though they will be back to PASS PASS PASS.
