seems like Mariners fans hated this guy

Most phils fans hated Burrell until Game 5 of the world series.

The BIGSTUD

I went to a Mariners board and they were all sad to see him go. They spoke very highly of his offense. Not so much his defense. Said he is a great leader and great character guy. He takes people under his wing and is a good teacher.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

ice grillin you

of course they do

im no huge ibanez fan but easy is obviously in the bag for burrell since he spamming the board with those videos

Sounds an awful lot like Geoff Jenkins

Chan Ho Park was officially signed to a 1 year $2.5 million deal.

He better have been guaranteed nothing more than the right to 'compete' for the 5th spot.  The DN article made it seem like they are looking at him like a starter which I would not be a fan of.

He's another Chad Durbin. Durbin was looked at as a possible starter and was 'told' he could compete for a spot in the rotation as well. Personally I would have used this money on trying to sign Lowe.

they promised him a chance to compete for the starting rotation
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Quote"I was a little worried about the Citizens Bank Park, the home of the Phillies, which is hitter-friendly," he said. "But as they considered me a starter, I signed with Philadelphia."

Cole Hamels, Brett Myers and Joe Blanton will fill three spots in the rotation. If Jamie Moyer re-signs, that would leave Park to compete with J.A. Happ, Kyle Kendrick and Carlos Carrasco for the fifth spot.

So basically it's insurance in case they don't get Lowe or Moyer, because we all know Happ is in line for the 5th spot.

But I do like Park out of the bullpen, seeing ass Durbin's mediocre career performance will most likely resurface next year.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Eagles_Legendz

Apparently they signed Moyer to a two year deal.  Details coming up a little later per WIP.
