STEELERS FANS DISRUPTED taterskinS' OFFENSE

The taterskins were at home last night, but they didn't always feel that way.

So many Steelers fans made the trip to Landover, Maryland (and so many taterskins fans were willing to sell their tickets) that at times it sounded more like Heinz Field than FedEx Field.

The Steelers fans were loud enough when the taterskins had the ball that quarterback Jason Campbell worried that his teammates couldn't hear his cadence.

"We actually went silent count one or two times out there," taterskins tackle Chris Samuels said after the game, per Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post. "I mean, Jason called it so we had to basically obey it."

The taterskins stopped short of criticizing their fans for selling their tickets, although they weren't exactly happy about it.

"You know, I'll be honest with you, it was kind of surprising there were a lot of Steelers fans in the crowd," taterskins coach Jim Zorn said. "It reminded me of the Super Bowl in '05."

Added taterskins guard Pete Kendall, "I mean, that's not the reputation or the expectation I had of the fans here, but who am I to begrudge somebody from making a profit by selling their tickets? I'm playing for money, and they're watching, and it's their right to do what they want with their tickets."

Depending on which estimate you believe, anywhere from 15 percent to 33 percent of the fans in attendance were cheering for the Steelers.

taterskins fans simply need to increase the level of their violence, and the level of their berating, against other teams fans. This would make them better fans and it might even benefit their group of overpaid athletes that supposedly represents their city.

Slow down.  Showing up to a game would be a good start.  Or ritual suicide. 

Ive said for a while that the taterskins have filled the void that the Arizona Cardnials created when they left the east.  This helps prove my point.

Wrong.  Giants fans & Eagles fans show up week after week.  You'd never see that in Philly or New York where the Eagles & Giants are concerned.

Dallas & Washington get overran with opposing fans on the regular.

Sad (actually hilarious) thing is Washington was 6-2 before yesterday so their apathy isn't performance-related.
