last year in the two big games he pitched when healthy, he was lights out against the senators and not good enough against the rockies.

farging baby.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Hopefully, the Cubs still have a reason to play.

Then again, if they don't, it could mean a wild card possibility.

Problem is, I don't see the Mets losing any more than 2-3 games outside of that Cubs series.

gotta figure the no days off between thurs and the end of the seaso will break their terrible bullpen

its essentially the same schedule cept the phils have the brewers and the mets have the cubs

i like the phils off day right before the final series which will allow them to set their rotation up pretty much how they want and should prevent bitch hamels from having to possibly pitch on short rest

Three against the fish are going to be a little trickier than three against the Nats.

maybe

but in the last 30 games

nats 17-13
fish 12-18

Yeah, but the Nats played more against the Phillies, who suck.

Looks like a fun night

Phils score 2, Blanton gives up 2
Phils score 3, Blanton gives up 2

....and it's only the 3rd inning

the "innings eater" goes only 5 again

Durbin comes in and........they're still winning for now

Rumors on the 2009 schedule already:

-- open the season at home vs the Braves
-- July 4 vs the Mets
-- only one September series vs the Mets (at home)
-- end the season at home vs the Astros and Marlins
-- interleague = home-and-home w/ Blue Jays, with the Orioles and Red Sox coming here while the Phils go to New York and Tampa Bay ROME

SD_Eagle5

Bums up 8-6 in the 9th, Marlins have runners at the corners with 1 out. Lidge strikes the next two batters out on 6 pitches. Game.

BigEd76

Ol' friend Helms does what he does....Ks at a bad pitch

then Cantu Ks swinging

half games ftw

and Blanton gets the win  :-D
