NEW YORK -- New York Jets running back Jesse Chatman has been suspended without pay for the team's first four regular-season games for violating the NFL's steroids and related-substances policy.

Chatman, who signed with the Jets as a free agent in March, is eligible to rejoin the team Sept. 29, a day after New York's game against Arizona.

"Jesse never tested positive for a steroid or any other performance-enhancing drug," said Chatman's agent Brett Tessler in a text message to ESPN.com's Tim Graham. "Near the end of last season the league claimed he had a diuretic in his system that they said could be used as a masking agent. After spending great time and money defending his innocence, the league made its final ruling, and now Jesse has no choice but to look ahead to Week 5."

I think Rodgers will be serviceable. Not a star, but maybe a Jon Kitna type player.

O'Sullivan has been cut something like 7 times. He's got his only shot to make an ever lasting impression. The problem is a Mike Martz QB doesn't usually get protection. Can he take the beating?

I think Matt Ryan is going to be good. Maybe the best of this group.

Flacco will be good if he can get some receiving help there.

Orton is a game manager, nothing more. If I was a Bears fan I would be calling for the carcass of Jerry Angelo to be hung in effigy. He's terrible.

Croyle...not a fan. Another team that continually ignores the QB position.

Russell has the tools but he'll be handicapped from playing in Oakland. I like Lane Kiffin as a coach but Davis is still there...and thats a problem.
