This must be the reason Jesse Chatman lit up the Eagles:

QuoteNEW YORK -- New York Jets running back Jesse Chatman has been suspended without pay for the team's first four regular-season games for violating the NFL's steroids and related-substances policy.

Chatman, who signed with the Jets as a free agent in March, is eligible to rejoin the team Sept. 29, a day after New York's game against Arizona.

"Jesse never tested positive for a steroid or any other performance-enhancing drug," said Chatman's agent Brett Tessler in a text message to ESPN.com's Tim Graham. "Near the end of last season the league claimed he had a diuretic in his system that they said could be used as a masking agent. After spending great time and money defending his innocence, the league made its final ruling, and now Jesse has no choice but to look ahead to Week 5."

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

PhillyPhreak54

Not too shocking really, they have been talking about him being at the end in Cincy for about a week now.

Boston Globe reporting Chad Jackson was cut by the Pats

QB Eagles

According to NFL.com, Travis Henry has been suspended "at least one year". That's not going to help with the child support payments.

Chad Johnson's Ocho Cinco's Wikipedia article is a pretty funny read now: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chad_Johnson

I wonder if the New York Times is going to call him Mr. Ocho Cinco.

Lions signed Rudi Johnson

And they dumped Tatum Bell.

Here are some of the starting QBs we'll see in Week 1:

Aaron Rodgers
J.T. O'Sullivan
Matt Ryan
Joe Flacco
Kyle Orton
Brodie Croyle
JaMarcus Russell

Which (if any) will turn into quality starters this season?

PhillyPhreak54

I think Rodgers will be serviceable. Not a star, but maybe a Jon Kitna type player.

O'Sullivan has been cut something like 7 times. He's got his only shot to make an ever lasting impression. The problem is a Mike Martz QB doesn't usually get protection. Can he take the beating?

I think Matt Ryan is going to be good. Maybe the best of this group.

Flacco will be good if he can get some receiving help there.

Orton is a game manager, nothing more. If I was a Bears fan I would be calling for the carcass of Jerry Angelo to be hung in effigy. He's terrible.

Croyle...not a fan. Another team that continually ignores the QB position.

Russell has the tools but he'll be handicapped from playing in Oakland. I like Lane Kiffin as a coach but Davis is still there...and thats a problem.

QB Eagles

The Pats signed Deltha O'Neal.
