I saw him at 108 too and I was thinking that the lead was safe. 4-1 with only the 8th to worry about. If he stays out there, a guy who has already pitched more this year than in any other year right?

Normally I think a pitch count is pussified...but I assumed he was done and the BP who had been so good the rest of the year could manage 3 outs in the 8th.

Ryan Madson has no balls. Giving up that HR and then getting hit around...terrible. And Durbin...jeez.

Terrible loss.

id be mad, but its like being mad at the dog for taking a piss on the carpet
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Blanton vs Harden in the battle of ex-A's pitchers.  O/U on Harden Ks = 11

Quote"I have all the confidence in the bullpen and I knew I wouldn't have been able to get the job done either," Hamels said. "Complete games are great and all that. But the complete games I threw even early in the season, they took a toll on me. I wasn't up to par two starts down the line, so I don't want that to effect me, especially this late in the season when every five days I go out and every game means something and I've got to be able to put in six, seven, eight quality innings where I can give the team an opportunity."
