the whole team definitely sucks im just saying the bench shouldnt be this bad and i dont know what more gillick could have done...in the end the gm i suppose deserves the blame for them sucking but at the time you couldnt hate on him forming that group of guys

the much bigger problem is not aquiring guys like harden or sabathia

yeah he isnt very good but hes far from the problem...the biggest problem regarding him is that hes their #2 or 3 starter when he should be a five

last line in the inky game story today....

The Phillies are hitting .198 (64 for 324) in their last 10 games, and .190 (37 for 195) in the first six games of this seven-game trip.

Read it. All of you.

http://www.phillymag.com/articles/the_phantom_five/

QuoteIn the Phillies boardroom, the mantra isn't "You're fired!" — it's "We'll get 'em next year, fellas." "Play it safe" has replaced "Play ball!" as the rallying cry. The Phillies' front office is a place where jobs last forever, everyone's chummy, and no one is held accountable, starting with the owners themselves, who refuse to talk to the media or to accept responsibility for failing to bring home a single championship during their 26-year reign. At best, they're cowardly. What's more, they're violating the civic pact you make when you buy a professional baseball team, and the quasi-public trust you create when you ask the city and state for $260 million in funding to build your new ballpark.

good article

QuoteMontgomery, his good friends in the front office and the Phantom Five are playing with some serious house money. It belongs to the tax-paying, seat-buying, jersey-wearing fans. Accountability to them is long overdue.

They spend the money they make, the problem is that they are utterly incompetent and continue to promote people who should be fornicated with an iron stick like Amaro.
