Charley hit 200 miles southwest of Daytona and its after-affects still had us without power for three days.  It was a mess all over Central Florida because of that storm.

An tropical storms are nothing to sneeze at either especially if they linger along the coast and drench it with rain.  Like 15 or 20 inches of rain in a day.

I don't feel like pulling up a flux capacitor or a BTTF poster or whatever, but this is old news.

I've been talking to myself on the Good Riddance thread.  It's fun.

US Air started a new policy this week, they wanted to charge me $2 for a water on the plane.  farging iceholes.  and $15 to check a suitcase.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Wouldn't you just bill all that to your company anyway?

phattymatty

oh yeah i don't care, it's all expensed, but the concept is still maddening.  i do a lot of personal travel also.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Yeah, but still, I'd rather we have some more costs and continued availability than have a bunch of airlines go out of business.

SunMo

QuoteMendes' Ad 'Too Sexy' For U.S.

5 August 2008 5:02 AM, PDT

Actress Eva Mendes' saucy perfume advertisement for Calvin Klein has been boycotted by several U.S. TV networks.

Bosses at national broadcasting stations are refusing to air the commercial for the company's Secret Obsession fragrance, in which the nude star writhes seductively on a bed and caresses her nipples.

The fashion firm's heads insist they weren't surprised by the TV network executives' decisions to reject the campaign - but maintain they will stand by the ad.

Tom Murry, president of Calvin Klein Inc., tells the New York Daily News, "We believe the commercial is exceptional and hits the mark for Secret Obsession.

"We are anticipating a very successful global launch."

A censored clip is expected to be shown on U.S. cable networks after the 9pm watershed, while the unedited version will air in full in other countries.
