Looks like the league is in serious trouble.  A new ownership deal fell through, so after New Orleans folded their team, it looks like the following teams could be folded too:

Colorado (Elway's team)
Orlando
Dallas (Jerrah's team)
Columbus (Galloway's team)
Georgia (Arthur Blank's team)
Kansas City (Neil Smith's team)

The Arena Football League is reportedly ready to announce they are suspending operations for the 2009 season.

"It's pretty much a done deal to suspend the 2009 season and work toward a single entity-league," Likens said. "We plan to start up again in 2010."
