No, warmonger.

And spectator or not, I don't care to argue the semantics with you, Obama opposed the war from before the beginning.  Weren't many people who did, or who were vocal about it.  He happens to be one.

I'm another, I'll remind you.  I rule.

Obama was still a spectator to national politics when it all started regardless.

actually he wasnt...he had won his senate primary and was in the middle of a

campaign for his current seat

in other words he won his current sentaorial position on a anti war platform

You only want to argue semantics with me. Because you're in love with me.

We are semantically involved, you and I.

(I laughed when I went back over to the massacre thread from this one, because I had just posted that without seeing your "semantics" remark.)

Dick Cheney under Bush Senoir said we couldn't go into Iraq for all the reasons we're struggling now.... He either forgot after 911 or thought there was a reason to say farg it!

Also Iraq might have been a completly different story had the monkeys in charge actually understood what Cheney was talking about  in the early 90's. Instead they bought their own press declared mission accomplished and did everything they could to make an already difficult situation worse.

:paranoid really? he did? Man I live out here in Illinois and I don't remember him running on that platform. I do remember the cake walk victory he had after Ryan withdrew about 3 or 4 months before the election and nut case Alan Keys came in. That was a great day for the repubs out here :-D way to go Hastert!

ice grillin you

he was running for the seat and was vocal in his opposition to the invasion...was it his whole platform surely not...the point is he didnt take the easy way out at the time which was to support the invasion

Oh I thought you said
Quotein other words he won his current sentaorial position on a anti war platform

I agree he was opposed to the war, but at the time, against Keys he could of said he was a huge Packers, hated Da Coach, and thought M. Jordan was a bum and still won by a landside, it was Alan Keys for cryin out loud.

you need to read the whole exchange...we werent talking about his ill senate run...i was contradicting ff's ridiculous argument that obama shouldnt get credit for being against the war from the start because he wasnt involved in national politics at the time

Quotegoing to Iraq was not a bad thing overall

QuoteObama wasn't in the U.S. Senate when the war was first waged.  It's easy for him to say he was against it all along.

It's far more important to be wrong about something after it has happened than to be correct about it before.

...and he'll win the Presidency on one too.  Then, we'll see what he does when he actually has to be accountable for the decisions and put our national security on the line.
