Junior Griffey hit his 600th hr today.  Had it not been for the injuries since going to Cincy, he almost certainly would have given Aaron's record a legit scare....probably before Bonds.

An incredible fall.  22 wins and #2 in the Cy Young voting to a 10.00+ ERA.

Guess:  Arm injury or alcohol/drugs?

Why are teams so much better at home this year?

The Phils actually have the 2nd best road record this year (tied with the Cardinals at 18-14).  The Angels are 1st with 21-12.

I love the steroid issue. It provides me an opportunity to make fun of athletes for yet another thing, but the longer this sticks around as an issue the less I give a shtein about these cheaters cheating. So while I feel sorry for Jay Gibbons and even Andy Pettite who reasonably claim to have taken steroids while recovering from injuries, I enjoy making fun of the fact that Tedy Bruschi's juiced up noggin had a stroke.

I'm so complex.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Milton Bradley stormed out of the Texas Rangers clubhouse after an 11-5 victory Wednesday night over Kansas City and bounded up four flights of stairs looking for Royals television announcer Ryan Lefebvre

Bradley never reached Lefebvre, although he was within about 20 feet of him in the TV booth before being led back down to the clubhouse.

Upon returning to the clubhouse, Bradley screamed at teammates and broke down in tears.

it pisses the shtein out me that the phils didnt sign him
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

What's hilarious about that story is that Lefebvre said that Bradley is a guy who can't control himself.  Gee, I wonder why he would say such a thing?

Not me.  He's more unstable than TO and not as talented.  He's a good player but not worth the headache that comes with him imo.

I think MDS is just upset because Bradley would provide a lot of fodder for a hopeful local sports journalist.
